Keeping the Drains Clear

Fats, oils, grease (F.O.G.) and chemicals can be easily found in everyday practices here at NASA LaRC and at your home. It is important to ensure that these items are handled and disposed of properly so that they are never washed down a sink or poured into a drain. The most common accumulation of F.O.G. and chemicals comes from every day washing processes, but this can quickly add up to be a large buildup over time. In addition, these items can have serious negative effects on our local water quality.
