Recruiting New Oyster Gardeners

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) is recruiting new oyster gardeners this year.  The CBF has a simplified process for “gardeners” to help with oyster restoration. Anyone that has access to salty water, whether a residential pier, a marina, or even a place of business can grow oysters.  It is a fascinating and unique way to help restore nature’s perfect water filters. Oyster can filter up to 50 gallons of water a day – this supports better water quality in the Bay.
