Local Volunteer Activity at Blue Bird Gap Farm – Living Shoreline Project

The City of Hampton is creating 224 linear feet of living shoreline and planting 2,500 square feet of tidal marsh at Bluebird Gap Farm. The City of Hampton is looking for volunteers to help with planting efforts. Supplies for this effort are being funded under a grant by the National Fish and Wildlife Fund. The grant is a focused effort by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) and local partners to restore Hampton waterways. Note: There are no set times for volunteer hours. Mr. Froneberger has requested that you contact him directly to set up a date and time to volunteer. Groups are wlecome to sign up together. NASA has no control over this event – we are just helping promote local events.
