The Chesapeake Bay is on a “diet”!!! This diet is called the Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL), and describes the maximum amount of pollutants that the Chesapeake Bay can receive while still meeting water quality standards. Can you name the pollutants of concern for the Bay? Do you know how harmful sediment (soil, silt, clay, etc.) washing into the Bay can be?
