NASA Langley collected plastic bags and film packaging for recycling in observance of Earth Day and Arbor Day 2016. Over 4 weeks, 169 pounds of plastic material (estimated to be about 14,500 plastic bags!!) were collected. All plastic material was donated to the York/Poquoson Master Gardeners for a composite bench to be placed in a local learning garden.
