Tree City USA is a national recognition program that began in 1976 and is sponsored by the Arbor Day Foundation in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service and National Association of State Foresters. By meeting the program’s four core standards of sound urban forestry management, LaRC has been recognized as a Tree City USA participant for over a decade! In honor of Arbor Day and NASA Langley’s continued acceptance in the Arbor Day Foundation’s Tree City USA program, LaRC’s 2021 Arbor Day proclamation is included below.
