In observation of Earth Day and Arbor Day 2017, the LaRC Environmental Team is planting almost 500 trees at LaRC and needs your help! Over 1 acre of a grassy area will be converted back to a forested state that will provide new habitat, reduce erosion, and improve water quality.
When: April 13th, anytime between 9 am to 4 pm
Where: In North 40, along Lewis Loop (near old B1275 location)
Registration: Email ande.remington@nasa.gov by April 11th with your name, contact information, and time availability.
Event is open to LaRC and LAFB personnel. Volunteers will be assisting with planting and watering the tree seedlings (holes will be pre-dug). This activity will involve kneeling, squatting, and light lifting. Please be aware of your physical limitations when registering.
