This October, LaRC will be recognizing Energy Action Month with a number of events and activities. From special employee tours of local utility providers to training events and our annual Energy Expo, there is sure to be something for everyone. Our goal is to reduce our energy consumption and FY16 was our first year of a new set of goals set forth in Executive Order 13693
As of the 3rd quarter of FY16, LaRC has reduced energy intensity (energy usage of goal subject buildings per Gross Square Feet) by over 8% from our new baseline of FY15!
We want to keep up the good work in FY17 and Energy Action Month is a perfect way to kick off the New (Fiscal) Year!
Here are just some of the activities and events taking place during the month of October:
- Tour of HRSD York River Treatment Plant, Oct 6th 9 am – 12 pm
- Training in Power Monitoring Tools on October 18th and 20th , 1-2 pm
- Tours of RECOUP on Oct 18th and 20th 10 am – 11 am
- LaRC Energy Expo on Oct 19th 11 am – 1 pm (More Information Here)

- Training in Green Procurement Oct 26th and TBD
- Presentation by Jefferson Laboratory Energy Management on Oct 27th
