Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination (IDDE): Litter Prevention and Personal Vehicle Maintenance

NASA LaRC is continuing to educate personnel on ways to reduce water pollution from every day activities. Outreach for proper vehicle maintenance and trash disposal is needed to increase awareness of risks associated with these types of pollution, to understand impacts of illegal dumping and illicit discharges into the storm system, and to ultimately avoid discharge of any non-stormwater materials into the storm sewer.

This quarter’s stormwater flyers provide best management practices (BMPs) to prevent stormwater pollution. Just a small change or two in your routine can make a huge difference in our community!
